Hounslow Seniors Trust is a charity based in Hounslow, West London
We enable social connections between older people through inspirational arts, cultural projects, events, and activities.
We believe that creativity is key to the enjoyment, happiness and fulfilment of older people.
Creativity is a major contributor to our health and wellbeing. For this reason over the years we have facilitated the participation in many art-forms including film, photography, dance, drama, visual arts, music and singing.
We challenge and change perceptions of older people and create more connected communities. Contributing to the creative life of our community is a powerful, life enhancing experience, hence we share our creative skills with others through art exhibitions and performances.
The annual month long Hounslow Older People’s Festival has been organised by the Trust for the past 28 years. This event brings enjoyment and happiness to the lives of older people in Hounslow and West London and also provides a platform for other groups to promote their work.
Our programmes are often developed in partnership with local arts, education and health and well-being providers. For us, intergenerational work is very important because it expands our minds and creates understanding and appreciation between the age groups.
We work with professional artists with skills across all art-forms in order to improve the lives of older people in West London.
