There will be a charge of £5 for each trip. You can book only one trip so lots of people get a chance to join in.
Wakehurst – 25 April, 11am sharp the mini-bus leaves from the corner of Balfour Road and Montague Road, Hounslow, TW3. We return at 4pm. This is a special day at Wakehurst, it is their Spring into Community event. Explore the Gardens and take part in a wide range of activities on the theme of ‘Seeds’. Learn about the crucial conservation work of the Millennium Seed Bank. Immerse yourself in the well-being benefits of the gardens by joining accessible sensory tours and forest bathing experiences or take part in a pollinator safari.
British Museum – 20 June, 2pm meet your escort outside Starbucks directly opposite the Main Gate of the Museum, Great Russell Street, WC18 3DG. We will start our visit with a cup of tea and an introduction to the exhibition Hiroshige: artist of the open road. This exhibition explores Hiroshige’s lyrical journey through Edo Japan, showing the natural beauty of the landscape and the pleasures of urban life.
Museum of Brands – 18 July, 11.15am meet your escort inside. Museum of Brands, 111 – 117 Lancaster Road, Notting Hill, W11 1QT. This Museum traces the history of consumer culture from Victorian times. It is an Aladdin’s cave of retro design and memories – the only museum of its kind in the world. Surround yourself in classic designs, vintage adverts and retro stylings. Visit the current exhibition Glass Renewed, enjoy the sheltered garden described as ‘a hidden gem’ and visit the café that serves hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes and sandwiches.
